CO Drones

Learning Objective

The CoDrone Workshop is designed to introduce students to coding and automation. In this workshop students will learn how to assemble simple electronic devices used to control drones and communicate with these devices to perform autonomous flight. The main goal of the workshop is to exercise the ability to think logically and learn how to transfer that skill into programing to automate tasks.

Fall 2022

STEM Auduino

The Westbury Middle School students took part in the STEM Arduino Workshops taught by Springboard Incubators Instructors at Westbury Middle School.

Throughout the workshops, students were taught to build and run the Arduino** Servo Motor project and get a basic understanding of the Arduino and how it functions with select components. Students were taught to assemble and program the Servo motor with joystick. They were taught to understand the working and connections of the components that makes up the Arduino. They also learned to program circuits with the RGB LED Project.

**An Arduino is a micro-controller or “mini” computer used to program circuits.

The students enjoyed the workshops. They were engaged and were very interested in learning each lesson that was taught.
