Film and Television 2023

Learning Objective

This workshop explores the process of the video industry in pre- production, video production and post-production. Students will study Adobe Premiere, an industry standard software which is a basic tool for editing, study filming practices and planning skills. This program allows students to understand the technology and terminology used by professional film & TV crews. At the end of the program, students will produce their own commercial video project.

Workshop Summary

Students will have a basic understanding of producing and storytelling. They will also have the opportunity to capture videos and understand camera settings. When the course is completed, they will be able to edit simple videos on adobe premiere.

Students attempted to create a full video that had to be produced, filmed and edited. Included in the assignment was the choice to use Storyboard or Written Script(s). Throughout the class, students were given quizzes to develop their knowledge of professional terms.
